crooked galleries and curators
Posted at: Nov 22, 2006 |
| hi. there is much more to seenow on the website. I will try to put on some projects I am planning to do in March in Schwerin. Funds are very tight. I hope the museum will have some dough for me. I would like to mound a 100 small neonlights on the facade of the museum. Those neons are weatherproof and low voltage neons from the US. Some cars have them around the license plate. They come in different colours and they look spectacular. I did a similar project on a chimney on the the Waschhaus complex in Potsdam Germany. The neon lights react on sound. So I have a radio installed in the tower and indeed the lights go on and off! The faster the music the faster my neons . Next blog is about crooked and incompetent gallery owners and "curators". The worse the economic situation is the more they steal. |

Tuna and eggs
Posted at: Nov 12, 2006 |
| Every Saturday we cook 15 dozen of eggs for the homeless. When I am in New York my son or me are doing the job of cooking the eggs. Lately we have an addition : tuna salad. We have the mayonaise and the celery sticks, parsley and white onions We clean it and put it in a food processor. Drain the water out. We are making 3 aluminium containers with tuna salad. Using three large cans of tuna 4 + lbs ( 1.88 kilos). My wife takes them with the eggs to the homeless shelter at St Bart on 51st and Park Avenue right across the Waldorf(!). |

| Back in the Big Apple !! This time the trip was pretty smooth. Plenty of empty seats. Good food reasonable wine. After two days of sleep I am beginning to work. I want to make installations inside and outside the museum. 100 small neonlights will illuminate the Schwerin Museum facade and a field of shredded dollars worth more than 250 million will be inside. |

| I am almost back in the USA. On Election Day I will be in New York. I hope the Democrats will win But what do they do with Irak. Get out and tell everybody that they have won the war?. Like the Israelis in Lebanon ? Maybe that is the best way I can think of. Anyway I am working hard. Making a large "retro work" of 5000 champagne corks . A friend of mine here in Antwerp is a manager of a trendy bar and they drink a lot of demi and demi a 50/50 mixture of white wine and champagne |
